The Meeting - Frederick William Burton - Life & Work

Umbrella Theatre Company, based in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown area, has been commissioned by the National Gallery of Ireland to write a new work, based on the painter Frederic William Burton, who will be known to most as the artist who painted The Meeting on the Turret Stairs.  This production has been commissioned to complement the NGI's own exhibition on Burton, which starts later this month. 

 

The production will also be performed, outside of the Gallery, in the dlr LexIcon in Dun Laoghaire.

Irish Theatre Institute initiative for an Irish Society of Stage and Screen Designers .

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Irish Society of Stage & Screen Designers. The ISSSD celebrates the work of stage and screen designers living and working in Ireland. It is a professional organisation run by designers for designers. The ISSSD acts as a hub for the sharing of information and communication between professional stage and screen designers in the national and international network of creative arts, design media and performance practices.
